We check in to our room all excited to have a night way. As we where settling in we started to notice thing about our room. The screen was out of one of the windows and placed in front of the other window,the glass table still had ring marks from glasses and was not wiped now, there was stuff all over the wall and bandaid covering the fire alarm. We went to the front desk to tell them and they moved us to a new room. We then went from the desk to out spa appt and dinner. Came to out new room thinking it was clean right but nope I went to sit in the chair and pushed the foot rest out and found trash that was not ours. And hair on our bed. We called manger and he came up and had a maid check things over and re made our bed with new bedding. If it was not snowing and 10pm we would have left. He refunded us $50 off our $220 room. With how much we paid we expected to have cleaner rooms. There house keepers do half ass jobs...and when we bring up our complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms they the staff say...well they have been very busy this week. The view was great but we will not be staying there again.

My sister had her wedding at the resort this past weekend and it could not have turned ot more perfect! The only negative was we used the spa staff for hair and make-up. Make-up turned out spectacular thanks to Kristin!!! Hair on the other hand was really poorly done.... very nice gal, but it took three tries on the bride for a simple low bun (and this was a bride that never complains and has a hard time speaking up about things like that). By the time my hair was done, I didn't want to make her do it again, and re-did it entirely myself (again, all that was asked for was a "loose, wavy style, pulled into a bun).... All three other gals that had it done ended up re-doing some part of their hair (and they only had "beach waves" ....)

Otherwise the food was fabulous in the oyster bar, for the BBQ dinner, and wedding dinner. The wedding was gorgeous, with amazing views and weather turned out perfect... the resort had a coordinator and she was involved with the staff from the AM through dinner and worked with my sister's "day of" coordinator without any disruptions to the bride and bridal party all day, allowing us to just relax and enjoy the day.

The resort is 100% dog friendly which was great as we were able to have our two with us all weekend. The beds are amazingly comfortable... The whole resort has that perfect "Pacific Northwest, Coastal feel."

I would totally recommend it for a wedding or just a weekend getaway. Just if you are getting married, bring your own hairstylist as self admittedly, she "mostly does cuts."

First off I want to thank everyone on your team at the Semiahmoo Resort! I made these reservations a couple weeks ago for my wife's birthday. We arrived a little early and meet up with our friends who were also staying the night. This was my wife's and my first real night away from our son (14) years. As soon as we arrived and we're checking in they offered to park our cars after getting our bags. They checked us in early so we dropped our bags off in the room and went to check out all the scenery. Amazing views of the mountains and water! We eventually made our way to POB where we ordered some delicious drinks and poutine which we enjoyed while we were sitting in the rocking chairs and listening to the sounds of the waves rolling onto the beach. We were also able to play horse shoes, and watch an amazing sun set before having more delicious food and drinks from POB. Then checking out the bon fire while others were roasting marshmallows. As we had such an awesome stay and were treated so well my wife can't stop talking about how comfortable the bed and pellows were, and that she had the best night sleep in years! If there was one negative thing I could say about our stay at Semiahmoo Resort, it would have to say that I didn't stay more nights!



Thank you again for making my wife's birthday so special and for the great hospitality. I already have been telling my friends about our stay and we will be booking reservations again Real Soon!
