Terrible experience. Dark and dingy. Horrendous smell from backed up drains. Overpriced drinks served in dirty glasses. Rude bartender. Had to deal with a gentleman who kept asking if we thought he farted. Will not be back.

Started with cocktails - The drinks were great. The Manhattan was unique - light but complex. I have no idea what an apple shrub is, but it makes a helluva modern Manhattan. My MN gin sour was outstanding - I really like Du Nord's Old Fitz gin, the lemon was fresh and tart, and the honey was surprisingly at home. Their exclusive cider is nice and dry - "big kid," sophisticated cider!



These cheese plate was robust. Cashel is a great blue, and the chutney was just right. The boxty was terrific - I would come back just for that.



I had the battered sausage. Good flavor - unlike some Irish sausage it really DID have flavor. And the crunchy batter stayed on the sausage even when I cut it. After I finished, I noticed there was not a drop of grease on the plate. Perfect.



I finished with the butterscotch pudding and a pop of the house made Irish Cream. The Irish Cream had a unique flavor - cardamom maybe? - that was really nice.



Attentive, knowledgeable waiter, cool pub atmosphere, really good food.
