Amanda Koons is 100% correct. My husband ad I went in and he was the main one interacting. He likes to be funny with people but neither girl was having any of it. The one girl turned us over to another because she was not "allowed" behind the counter. The counter person never smiled and told us our tea would go stale because we didn't buy one of their containers and that it wouldn't taste the same because we didn't buy their different tea makers or their sugar. When we went down to $20 from $88 (yes $88) she never looked up again and those were her last words to us. Come on! You'd think their tea had gold in it. Waaaaaay too serious. No humor in either girl. Never going back. I predict they won't make it.

I went here as a beginner to try to find a tea I used to drink at a restaurant in another city. I was also looking for a teapot of some sort. I was shown a great device for making tea and I really like it. It is when I went to the tea counter that I started to feel uncomfortable, the sales girl started filling up a large tin of tea trying to convince me to buy a pound saying things like that way I will not have to come in as often and that there is a 10% discount. The total for the whole pound was more than $100. I repeated again that I am a beginner and did not want to spend that much, that I only wanted two oz, she stated that I would not get much tea with that then convinced me to buy 4 oz. She also said that I needed to buy a tin which was a one time charge (she did not mention that you are able to buy tea and have it put in a free bag). Basically, they saw sucker on my forehead after saying I was a tea beginner. Once home I read other peoples reviews of their pushy sales tactics, I am saddened that they would choose to be so aggressive with their customers and trick them into spending more money. Next time, I will take my business elsewhere for sure.

The tea is fantastic, the samples are to die for, and the teapots and accessories are beautiful. I would shop here all the time if it weren't for the bizarre service. A salesperson whisked me around the store giving samples, then hurriedly asked me which one I wanted without giving me time to look at my other options. I picked one that I had liked and she filled the entire large canister. I had to continually ask her to take more away (to her increasing visible annoyance) until I still had more than I normally would buy. She was very pushy about trying to upsell with another pot or a special measuring spoon.
