I have always shopped the Fred Meyer in Oregon city with no problems, Today, however, when I tried to use my debit card on a new piece of equipment, the transaction kept failing. The cashier told me that I mistakenly put in too many characters for my PIN. I tried again, and the same thing happened. The cashier told be that I'm adding more numbers that are allowed. My PIN has 6 numbers. The new machines only allow 4. A manager said that she would be checking into it but she had never heard of a 6-digit PIN. I've had a 6-digit PIN for years as required by my bank. Today, the rule has changed. But I was treated badly and made to feel like I didn't know what I was doing, Be careful when checking out at this store if you have more than 4 digits in your PIN

It would be nice if whomever sets up displays that include a coupon to put up the correct items for that coupon. I was going to purchase 4 items that were on both sides of a display. The coupon wouldn't work so the supervisor came over. Her condescending tone when she told me "yeah it's on the coupon" made me leave without purchasing any of my items. I told her all the items were on both sides of the display. Plus the cashier cancelled the order and voided whatever I had on an old gift card. So it actually cost me money to not buy anything today at Fred's.
